An unoccupied house went up in flames and a second residence was slightly damaged during a fire in Carrington Village, St. Michael last night. Two fire tenders from Fire Service Headquarters responded to the blaze which extensively damaged a stone and timber structure in Fountain Road. There were no reports of injury and police are carrying out investigations.

A serious accident which occurred around 12:45 this morning at Pinder’s Bottom east of Boarded Hall, St George resulted in one fatality. One motor car and a motor van were involved in the collision with both vehicles receiving extensive damage.
Two tenders from Fire Service Headquarters under the command of acting Station Officer Denton Foster responded to the incident. Police are investigating.
Fire officers responded to a fire yesterday around 12 noon near Harlington, St. Philip which caused extensive damage to a shed and container used as a workshop for the repair of fibre glass boats.
One fire tender from the Worthing Fire Station and one tanker from Fire Service Headquarters under the command of Station Officer Mervin Mayers responded to the incident one boat was also destroyed during the blaze.

Fire officials sprang into action this evening, around 3:45 p.m., responding to a call that a building along Worthing Main Road, Christ Church, next to the Greame Hall Nature Sanctuary, had collapsed and someone was trapped inside.
Fortunately that was not the case, as the officers under the direction of Lead Officer Brown soon discovered. The only persons at home were three dogs. (Barbados Today)
